How It Works

3rd and Long is a fast, dice-driven NFL season simulator. No board, no setup, no app required.

Every team has two ratings — Offense and Defense, on a 1–20 scale, calibrated against real 2025 points-for and points-against data. For each game, both teams roll two d100 dice and apply a pre-calculated modifier. Look up the result on the scoring table. Record it. Move on.

A full game takes under 5 minutes. A full 18-week season in an evening.
