QP Football Doesn't Get Enough Credit

There's a tabletop football game that's been free to download for years. Mike's QP Football — simple, fast, and genuinely brilliant. You don't need a board, a box, or a rulebook. You need a d20, two team ratings, and a table. That's it.

How It Works

Every team has three ratings: Offensive, Defensive, and Close Game Factor. Those combine with your opponent's ratings to produce a Team Strength Rating for each possession. Then you roll a d20.

A 1 is a turnover and a wasted drive. A 20 is a touchdown on the first play. Eight rolls per team, a CGF phase if the game is close, and sudden death OT if it goes to the wire. The whole thing plays in about ten minutes.
